John has been working with cattle for over 30 years with special interest in footcare and fertility. John passed his Dutch Diploma in Cattle Foot Trimming in 1992. His special interest in Cattle Ultrasound has taken him teaching throughout the world. In- house referral cases are of particular interest and John has achieved exceptional success in treating cystic ovarian disease.
Celia Maddock
BVM&S, MRCVS, CertCHP
AI/ Medicine / Calf Management / Foot Trimming
Celia graduated from Edinburgh in 1994. Working as a farm vet she quickly developed an enthusiasm for cows’ feet! She passed her Dutch Diploma in Cattle Foot Trimming in 1999 and her Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in 2001 after which she started running day courses on feet and emergency procedures. Celia has been running courses for Embryonics since 2010.


John Greenwood
AI / Fertility
John has worked within the UK dairy industry since 1972. He was awarded a HND from Harper Adams in 1976, undertook AI training in 1977 and achieved his Cert Ed qualification in 1988. Following practical experience including 12 years as head herdsman responsible for 250 cows and 6 years as manager of a 220 head herd John has been a professional AI technician for the last 18 years including 4 years at RMS culminating in his appointment as Team Leader. John completed his RMS Advanced Training in the USA in 2006
David Yoxall
David was brought up on a family dairy farm in Cheshire. While continuing his involvement in the family’s 80 cow dairy. David began augmenting his skill set by becoming accomplished in many different areas of cattle reproduction, animal husbandry and the practical education of others in these areas within the Embryonics umbrella.
David’s journey then took another major step in 2010 with his appointment at Morsan Farms in Alberta, Canada. There he oversaw the day to day development and management of their elite show herd, and managed the ever expanding embryo transfer program.
A further career advancement came when asked by Westgen (Semex Can) in 2013 to lead and develop the establishment of a Bovine IVF facility in British Columbia, Canada. Working alongside Westgen and Boviteq, Boviteq West was established.
Having taken the decision to return to the UK David’s first phone call was to Embryonics, on returning he has turned his experience to many of the training courses that Embryonics provides.
